PACS support

PACS support that keeps studies moving.

Your PACS vendor owns its software and your IT team owns the network. The problems that stop reads usually sit between them. We take those: trace the study's path, fix what's broken, and work the vendor ticket so you don't have to.

When studies are missing, slow, or in the wrong worklist

Studies that never arrive

Failed DICOM sends, wrong AE titles or ports, routing rules that drop or duplicate studies, and queues that quietly stall.

Missing or slow priors

Prefetch rules by modality and body part, archive retrieves that time out, and priors that land after the read is done.

Slow viewers and reading stations

Load times traced to the network, the archive, the workstation or the viewer settings, and fixed where they start.

Worklist and demographic errors

Modality worklist, HL7 orders and results, and MRN or accession mismatches between the RIS, the EHR and PACS.

Upgrades and new modalities

Upgrades planned with a rollback, and new scanners connected, tested and documented before the first patient.

Vendor escalations

We collect the logs and DICOM traces your vendor asks for, speak their language, and push the ticket until it's closed.

How it goes

  1. 1

    Tell us the symptom

A short call: what's failing, since when, and who it's stopping.

  2. 2

    Trace it

Logs, DICOM and HL7 traffic, and the path a study takes from scanner to reader.

  3. 3

    Fix and document

The fix, the cause, and notes your team or your next vendor can follow.

Experience behind it

From Felix Garcia's work before PACS Desk:

Who you're working with

Questions

Which PACS do you support?

We're vendor-neutral and have worked with Agfa, GE, Philips, Intelerad, McKesson and others. If we haven't used yours, the DICOM and HL7 underneath work the same way.

Can you work with our existing vendor and IT team?

Yes. We work alongside them and handle the problems that fall between vendor support, general IT and the reading room.

What access do you need?

Only what the problem needs, agreed with you first: usually remote access to the PACS and router logs, and someone who can reach the modality or workstation involved.

Can we get ongoing support instead of one-off fixes?

Yes. We can take one problem, support you month to month, or run a project.

Can you come on site?

Yes. We're based in Tampa Bay and travel when the work needs hands on the equipment.

What's your PACS doing?

Describe the problem and we'll get back to you with next steps.
